Dear Colleagues and friends,

The X International Course on mechanical circulatory support and new technologies in advanced heart failure will take place from the 14th to the 16th of March 2024. In this edition, we aim to keep the same structure from previous courses, with an emphasis on the management of patients with cardiogenic shock and advanced heart failure, but with a focus on mechanical circulatory support.

To achieve these objectives, we will have national and international experts in the field who on top of providing expert presentations, will discuss the clinical cases that will alternate with more formal presentations. We will also have practical workshops and as a novelty, simulation workshops in small groups to learn how to manage patients with short-term and long-term circulatory support, which will occur in parallel to the academic program.

This course is addressed to all medical professionals who are interested in the management of patients that need mechanical circulatory support, such as cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, nurses and perfusionists. Like in previous editions, the course will be accredited by the Spanish College of Physicians and has the support of the Spanish Society of Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology and CIBER-CV.
